I have called this blog 'The Northern Wilderness' after the Lake District.
This is because before the 1720's, people did not really go into the lakes as
they saw it as a dark wilderness and did not know what creatures might live there
and they believed the lakes were created by the remains of the great flood caused
by God.
Expect news, stories, points of view and maybe the odd history lesson.
